Cheapest and best water filter – in the LONG TERM
www.wholehousewaterfilternow.com Why is a whole house water filter system better than an under the sink or point of use water filter? When we help clients figure out how to get the most exceptional water quality throughout their house, questions often arise about reverse osmosis under the kitchen sink or filters under all the sinks in the home. (This is called “Point of Use Treatment” or POU in our industry.) The POU system comparison to whole house filtration shows how much more effective the whole house filtration is. Whole house filtration is definitely favorable because you get exceptional water quality without the ongoing maintenance and hassles of having separate water filters under each fixture. Plus you aren’t required to incur any of the additional construction costs such as drilling granite and all those different things that POU water systems often require. Whole house water filters treat the water at the point where it enters the home and because of this we can address drinking water, ice making, bathing and showering issues all at once. Point of use system can not easily do this. A separate unit needs to be under every sink and added to every shower. The maintenance effort every 6 to 12 months to replace all the filters plus the replacement filter cost and initial construction install costs of those POU water systems make them very expensive and undesirable. And these filters must be replaced or the filters don’t work and you might as well have no filters if …

@miguelbgood Hi-
No claims of removing all chemicals here, Miguel! The filtration components we use in fabrication are NSF certified, but we build systems for specific water quality issues and certifying over 50 system configurations is cost prohibitive. If you dig hard – The WQA Gold Seal Certifications pass systems that are removing 50% of the stated chemical over the gallon life – This can be a disservice to the consumer at a high cost to the manufacturer. We appreciate your comments!
Removes all chemicals? I think not. Reduces, yes; removes, no.
And is this system NSF certified? If not, what independent testing lab says this filter system does what it says it does, or does anything for that matter?
Anyone can say anything about a water filtration system, but unless it’s NSF certified (NSF is an independent lab/ analysis / watchdog organization) you really don’t know that it does what it says it does.
after 5 years – the leaching of minerals into the water from the stones starts to diminish considerably – so to help maintain the mineralisation and alkalinity of the water it is recommended to replace the mineral stones every 5 years
why would those mineral stones need replacement???
Hi Kristy, firstly what is the “sponge” – I don’t know about this.
We have nozzles – but not listed in catalogue. So no you do not have to replace whole system. If nozzle not working Check that internal part of nozzle has not come lose: screw top of nozzle and reseat spring etc in the top of nozzle housing.
If you do need a replacement nozzle or any other small part that is not in the catalogue – I can place an order for you and have it shipped to you within a few days.
regards Bob
I have had one for years and just replaced my ceramic filter with the sponge. I am not sure if I put it together correctly as the water filters so much faster than with the ceramic. Also, Nikken does not have a replacement for the nozzle, will I have to buy a whole new system to get a new one? Thank you!
You can buy one from me. Reply and I will be happy to place an order for you
where can i buy this?
